Cornerstone Recovery LLC is Hiring a Certified Addiction Counselor Near Cumming, GA

Cornerstone Recovery is seeking a Certified Addiction Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor, for an addiction treatment position at our Outpatient office. This will begin as a part time position that does not start immediately. Hires have to be made in order to submit the packet for program licensing and work can't begin before state approval.

```Duties:```
- Conduct assessments with clients to determine their needs and develop a treatment plan
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to provide support and education to clients
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis and psychotherapy to address addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in distress
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with CFR, HIPAA and any other pertinent regulations
- Stay current on research and best practices in addiction counseling through continuing education and professional development

```Experience:```
- The experience required to become certified as an addiction counselor level I, II OR an LPC
- Familiarity with addiction treatment modalities, including individual counseling, group therapy, and family therapy
- Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-10 for diagnostic evaluation and billing purposes is helpful but not required
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with co-occurring disorders, trauma survivors, and individuals with PTSD
- Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and professional standards for addiction counselors

- Individual and family counseling techniques
- Research skills for staying up-to-date on the latest treatment approaches
- Psychotherapy techniques
- PTSD care and trauma-informed approaches
- Diagnostic evaluation using standardized assessment tools
- Group therapy facilitation skills

This program is Christian based. I would prefer someone that has a familiarity with apologetics or a willingness to become familiar.

Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
